Helene Resource Center opens to provide long-term recovery support to Buncombe County residents

Buncombe County announced the official opening of the Helene Resource Center in downtown Asheville. The HRC will officially open on April 8, 2025 and will serve as a central hub for Buncombe County Helene survivors, providing continued access to vital recovery services in a survivor-focused setting.

Located at 94 Coxe Avenue in Downtown Asheville, the Helene Resource Center (HRC) for Buncombe County residents is open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Free parking is located across the street and no appointment is necessary.

As a part of this transition, the Fairview Disaster Resource Center will close on April 11 and these resources will move to the Helene Resource Center at 94 Coxe Avenue starting April 14, 2025.

  • Private Property Debris Removal

  • State Disaster Case Management

  • Small Business Administration (SBA) disaster loans

  • Hazard Mitigation Grant Program

  • dditional survivor-focused services and referrals
