Golf Course repair progress as of today
The Town has invested more than $135,000 in repairing the golf course. This is more financial investment in the recovery effort than any other aspect of recovery other than search and rescue and critical infrastructure.
Back Nine open for play as of June 24, 2025
Culvert & cart path repairs
Irrigation system restored
Pro Shop renovated and reopened
What's Ahead
Repairs to the golf cart barn, cart paths and bridges on the front nine will be underway in a few months. The Town is waiting for obligation of funds for this work. Soon, a temporary building will be onsite to house equipment. This building will be reimbursed by FEMA.
The golf maintenance building was substantially damaged and located within a regulatory non-encroachment zone. It must be demolished and relocated in compliance with FEMA standards. This work is underway and fully reimbursable under federal disaster assistance.
New leased equipment is beginning to roll in, allowing us to open our back 9 and keep it properly maintained. Due to months without irrigation, equipment or ability to spray, our greens will take time to recover and get back to their standard quality. Please be patient and realize this is what recovery from a major storm looks like.
We can’t wait to welcome you back to the course! Ongoing updates will be available on the Golf Course website.
